Shawn C. Roberts is the Founder and Managing Director of Recycling Waste & Logistics Limited (RWL), Trinidad and Tobago. With more than 20 years of experience in recycling, circular-economy development, business operations, shipping and logistics, he has led and supported plastic recovery, processing and market-development initiatives across the Caribbean.
His documented portfolio encompasses approximately 831 metric tonnes of plastics diverted, processed and/or traded across seven Caribbean locations. Mr. Roberts also coordinated the Tobago Recycling Resource Initiative, a public-private recycling programme implemented from 2020 to 2025, which established Tobago’s first dedicated Material Recovery Depot Facility. His work focuses on transforming discarded materials into valuable industrial feedstock while promoting regional partnerships, environmental stewardship, green employment and sustainable economic development.
