Stuart Donald is an independent advisor to large-scale farming and agriculture businesses. Stuart has 40 years of experience leading, managing and supporting farm & forestry investments, agribusinesses & global agriculture funds.
Stuart provides expertise in strategic planning, business analysis, due-diligence, acquisitions, structuring, operational excellence and people management. He has broad sectoral experience of production including livestock, annual & permanent crops, horticulture, sugar cane, forestry and upstream & downstream agribusinesses including seed and biotechnology.
Stuart is currently based in UAE with international experience in Africa, Australia, Brazil, Europe, Middle East, New Zealand, South East Asia, South America, UK & USA.
Stuart was recently the Chief Farming officer for Al Dahra, which managed over 100,000 ha of primarily irrigated farmland, and lead the expansion internationally. Prior to this he was a partner in The Rohatyn Group and GMO Renewable Resources and held senior roles in Monsanto, Cargill and Booker Tate.
Stuart holds a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture from the University of Reading in the UK and is passionate about sustainable farming systems, new technologies, farm development & mentoring the next generation of leaders.
