Stuart Donald is the Chief Farming Officer at Al Dahra responsible for driving
performance across the company's global farming portfolio in the Middle East,
Europe, Africa and South America, and expanding the farming platform globally. With
more than 30 years’ agricultural experience across some of the world’s most diverse
landscapes, Stuart brings a rare blend of operational expertise, investment
leadership, and strategic insight.
Since joining the company, Stuart has guided Al Dahra’s evolution into a truly global farming
organisation – ensuring every farm operates to world-class standards while driving improvements
in productivity, quality, sustainability, and agronomic innovation. His leadership has been pivotal in
preparing the Group’s farming platform for the next era of growth and becoming the largest
irrigated platform farming in the world.
His international career spans senior roles in agricultural investment at The Rohatyn Group and
GMO Renewable Resources, alongside advisory leadership at AgriFrontiers. Earlier, he held
senior roles at Monsanto, Cargill, and major farming enterprises in Brazil, Zambia, and Papua
New Guinea.
Stuart holds a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture from the University of Reading in England and is
recognised for championing sustainable farming systems, innovation, and the next generation of
agricultural leaders.
